Hey Dominka, I'm 16 years old and currently in high school in the UK. I'm not the most popular guy on the scene when it comes to dating and such. However I have a tendency of getting along with most people which has gained me many female friends in school, I feel like I'm in the "friend zone" with potentially all of them. One of my problems are socialising with girls out of school. I don't really get to meet many girls out of school doing what I do, which is mainly soccer. On occasions where I do see a girl on the street that seems "wow!" I never have the guts to approach her and end up kicking myself later. Aother problem I'm having is a girl from school that I haven't been able to get out of my head. Her name's Rosie, we first became friends through another female friend and then eventually became closer to a point where I could talk to her about tonnes of things that were in my head but would never usually speak out. I began to have feelings for her which I thought was really wrong at the time as I didn’t want to lose her friendship. After a year it came to a point where I couldn't bare to keep something so big from her, it felt like I was lying to her every day. So I decided to tell her, n her reaction was "Aaaw that's sooo cute." We just walked along back to outr friends after that as it felt like I was at a dead end. It may make you laugh and may even put a slight grin on my face too but it still lives to be one of the most embarrassing moments of my life. It’s nearly a year since that incident and a year and a half since I've had a crush on Rosie which still remains today. Between that time Rosie and I didn't talk so much at all and inevitably grew apart. I've also had a relationship that didn’t go so well as to lasting a month and a bit. Recently Rosie and I have been talking a bit more, mainly on msn as we don't get to see each other much at school. It feels like how we used to chat and joke around like before. She's also suggested a day out a couple of times over the last few conversations we’ve had. Once to go to the movies and once to go job hunting. When talking to her she didn't mention anything about anyone else joining us, she said something along the lines of "You can come with me to see some shops someday", after I said yeah that sounds cool, she said "We should definitely make a date for handing out our resumes". I suggested sometime this upcoming week and now have the growing tension of doing something stupid. Today I will be letting her know a range of days that we could go and have her select her most convenient. Although I have feelings for her, if I can't be with her then I want to at least be able to mend our friendship and maybe even show her a bright side of me that would have her smiling. I just don't want there to be a lot of awkward silence between us as I usually have trouble making good conversation with her nowadays. And obviously I don't want to do anything stupid in front of the girl makes me blush. I really want to apologise for this 'essay' of a problem. I know your probably busy saving the world for a 100 more guys out there, but embarrassing as it may seem that I blush, I rely need some good advice.
