I remember this episode of Seinfeld in which Elaine bumps into an ex-boyfriend of hers and Jerry immediately predicts with complete certainty that they're getting back together. Elaine of course denies it, but then hooks up with the ex anyway (many times over). I know it's just a T.V. show, but I've always thought that it gave a certain amount of insight on reality. Do you think that crossing paths with an ex, after a good amount of time apart, could lead to "indiscretions"? And how big of a factor are the circumstances surrounding the initial breakup? - deertay

No, he's totally correct. Even I have got some really rude turn-offish stuff before after just saying "hi" to someone sitting there. Tends to make me adopt a very standoff approch. And it lead me to only be friendly and never get that forward with conversation or the like. So I just never cared that much about doing the 'approch' like some women like.--bleak - bleakheart

Hi julia! ok, Im a good kisser(I think I am cause I've never received any complaints!) last night I made out with this girl that I kinda like. Im a nice guy sometimes too nice but we had a good time. Hey Julia sorry its a Different Email but ya its me snake, i also forgot to ask, Ive had a past relationship which did not last long, Basically we went out for a day, and then she broke up with me, but it felt soo odd this girl had played with my feelings as i see it. We end up just being friends as i told her, and then 2 days before winterbreak she gives me a kiss, and after school we make out.. but i dont get it that when i see her during the break she doesnt feel intrested in me anymore and when it came to school there was no connection from herside. I told her that i liked her and she said she did to but she was scared to hurt me! I felt really upset on why she kept on mentioning why?? what does it mean by she doesnt want to hurt me. I wanted to know maybe it might be different from ur point of view, but i told her what do u mean by that as in we breaking up within a short time of period. and she said somewat yes, I told her that im not scared to get hurt ive been hurt before. and I feel like it was somethign else in that and she doesnt know if she wanted a boyfriend or not, but she says that she likes me soo much that she is letting me choose the decision.. and i dotn want that i want it to be on both of us. and i ask her its up to u. and she tells me that im just not ready for a boyfriend.... 1 week later she is with another guy....? I just hate the fact that girls play with u like this. Well hey there Julia, Well im having some sort of odd situation, well basically there is this girl who i seem to be intrested in, but like we have good talks and alot of other things that connect us both. But one slight problem, she has a boyfriend. I feel like im trying to push her away from him but im no that type of guy to go ahead and take another guys girl. I just dont know what to really do, she puts out signs that shows she likes me but its kinda hard to tell if its just a friend sign. Hi Julia! Watched a few of your posts and thought that maybe you could shed light on my dilemma. Over the past few years I've kept a friendship with a buddies ex-girlfriend. It has strictly been a friendship and nothing else. She is usually the girl I turn to to ask my relationship questions. Recently we have both had bad luck with the opposite sex, she has even "sworn off men." The last time I was home her and I had good conversations about relationships etc. and I began to feel that she was becoming attracted to me. Increase in phone call frequency, desire to hang out together more etc.(I am a man so I could be picking up on something that isn't there but i doubt it.) One of the last days of winter break I went to the restaurant that she tends bar at to visit and have a few drinks until her shift was over. While I was there I was introduced to one of her girlfriends who was also working that night. I had a few drinks and visited with both of them then went out for the night. To make a long story short I began asking my friend about her girlfriend and found out she was single. After this bit of information was divulged my friend added "If you hook up with her when your back for spring break I wont like it. I don't know if I would be mad but i would like it. " At the time I did have intentions to try and see if her friend would be interested in perusing anything but now I am confused as what to do. I value the friendship so I would not want to start dating her friend and lose a friend. Is there anyway to go about dating this girl without losing/pissing my friend off? Or should I cut my loses and not peruse anything to ensure the friendship stays intact. Your input is greatly appreciated, -Zach - luvrboy
