"Bottled or tap?" is an annoying enough question, but come August, when Evian's "palace bottle" will be arriving at fancy restaurants, select hotels, restaurants and clubs throughout the country, you will hear an extra option to the usual question. The fancy "palace bottle" is presented as if it were a bottle of champagne and will be delivered to your glass using custom coasters and a ceremonial pourer. This pourer, however, is not a hot waitress, but an actual pouring device made for this new water.

"We designed the Palace Bottle to be an iconic and modern representation of Evian, with strong visual cues to our unique origin in the French Alps," says Caroline Kibler, brand manager of Evian North America. "We have also designed a unique pouring instrument, the Palace pourer. It is the first of its kind for bottled water, and delivering on both form and function, provides a luxury water experience." How very pretentious of them.

With costs around $5 to $8, expect this water to outshine your usual bottled water and the oh-so-horrible tap water. "Evian has always catered to a consumer that demands the highest quality and style in every experience, including restaurant dining," says Kibler. "We are proud to offer consumers an even more premium way to enjoy Evian, and are excited for this luxury water experience to be a part of fine dining and celebrations."

Evian has been involved in fashioning creative products and packaging for decades, including unique designs like the Nomad sports bottle, teardrop glass bottle, flip-cap bottle, 2007 French Alps bottle, hot pink label, and the 2006 limited edition Romero Britto glass bottle. Next thing you know, they will be modeling their water after Paris Hilton and everyone will have to wear a condom to drink it.
