While celebs like Megan Fox, Scarlett Johansson and Fergie might get you hot and bothered, your chances of actually landing one of them are slim to none. However, would you settle for a girl who resembles one of them? A new patent has hit the web hinting that Microsoft is working on a dating web site that can do what you only imagined--match you with a woman who looks like your celebrity fantasy.
According to the patent: Online dating services generally use textual search criteria to identify potential matches. Users can search for potential dates by searching the textual description portion of the other users' profiles. Text searching works well to search based on non-visual attributes (such as age, gender, ethnicity, and location of the user), but often falls short when searching based on physical appearance, including facial features. This is troublesome since physical appearance is generally considered one of the most important search criteria among users of online dating services. Text searching also suffers from the fact that users may misrepresent themselves in text, providing inaccurate descriptions of themselves. Another feature of the site will allow users to rate the attractiveness of certain people.
While you are waiting for the patent to turn into a reality, you can spend your time cutting out photos of your potential celeb-like dates or close your eyes when you're with your girl and keep dreaming.
