Women always want to be treated like a lady (even if they are a freak in the bed). Whether it is a first date or you have been married for 20 years, it is always the little things that count to show her your undying devotion. If she claims that she is independent and doesn't need you to do anything, don't listen.

Your mother probably taught you the basics; open the car door, pick up the check and get the car in the rain, but there are other rules of conduct that will separate the boys from the gentlemen in the eyes of a woman. Learn these tricks of the trade; tailor them and make them your own; and watch her swoon.

1. Sit in the aisle (this goes for a plane ride, movie or sporting event) and risk getting your elbow bumped every five seconds just so she doesn't have to.

2. Walk on the side closest to traffic to protect her just in case some mad man drives down the road on a whim.

3. Tivo your sports games so you enjoy her favorite show together (then catch up on your game when it is over).

4. Offer to get together with her friends even when you despise one or two (or all) of them.

5. Do not give any complaints when asked to hang out with her parents or any other family members.
