In a recent rumor circulating on the internet, actor Christopher Walken was announced as a supposed candidate for President of the United States of America in the upcoming 2008 election. A newly created website, www.walken2008.com, displays a list of the "candidates" platforms, complete with a formal touch and a political air.

But don't hold your breath! The website, funny as it may be, is just a serious spoof.

Walken, famous for his work in films such as STEPFORD WIVES and SLEEPY HOLLOW, has denied any attachment to the site, and insists that he has absolutely no plans to run for President: either now or anytime in the future (damn!). It seems as if someone was a bit too thrilled about Walken's recent role as Secretary of State in the flick WEDDING CRASHERS, and decided to "nominate" good ole Walken for the presidency with a spoof-site.

So, while hopes for yet another actor-president have been dashed, the site is pretty hilarious (and mind-boggling if you believe it). I suggest sending the link to any net junkie friends, just to see how many of them you can convince of a Christopher Walken candidacy. Maybe he'll even get the vote!
