If you've ever wondered what the world's most expensive razor looks like, look no farther than Hommage's Damascene Razor. This limited-edition straight razor features a platinum sheath made with the same age-old layering techniques as the Crusaders' swords. It's then plated in platinum and treated to resist tarnishing. The Damascene Razor is packaged in a lacquered gift box made of wood from Tanzania.
The Damascene Razor is created in Germany using around 128 layers of steel. The blade is durable, sharp, and features a decorative pattern that sets it apart from other high-end razors. Not only is the blade incredible, the sheath has been plated with rare and precious platinum adding to its manly beauty.
Using the razor might take a little getting used to and is a bit high maintenance. It needs 24-hours to "rest" between uses, must be stropped around 15 times prior to use, must be thoroughly rinsed and dried after using, and should be rubbed with oil and stored in a ventilated, dry area when not in use for long periods of time. The Damascene Razor tips the scale at $30,000, but can you really put a price on sexiness?
