Cy, the kitten born with one eye and no nose that sparked hoax debates last year, will soon be on display in an oddities museum.

The museum's founder, a believer in creationism, hopes the kitten will spark another debate on whether science and religion intersect. Cy's owner said that she turned down an offer made by Ripley's Believe It Or Not, instead selling the remains to John Adolfi because of his religious reasons.

"We didn't want Cy becoming a joke or part of a personal collection," said Oregon-based Traci Allen. "But John was so heartfelt, you could tell he was genuine and sincere."

Adolfi won't reveal how much he paid for Cy, which is short for Cyclops. But he has said he plans to have the kitten embalmed.Cy died in December, just one day after he was born. Vets in Oregon said that the kitten suffered from the rare disorder, holoprosencephaly.

Adolfi will to display Cy's remains in a glass jar in the Lost World Museum he plans to open in the fall in Phoenix. He has said that other exhibits at the museum will showcase giant plants and eggs, archeological finds, and deformed animal remains.
