Their background: "Unthirsty is the work of a group of like-minded souls who were always struggling (for obvious reasons) to remember where and when they last enjoyed that good happy hour. A plan of action was drawn up on beer sodden napkins over bargain pints and some mighty fine nachos. Thus, Unthirsty was launched and dedicated to the good of all mankind's legally drinking denizens."

To use the site, input your location and a map will appear showing you which bars in your area are the best watering holes. Look to the left of the map and you'll see a listing of all the bars, their names, and their addresses. Click on the detail option under the bar of your choice to learn more about what it has to offer, as well as to see what other users may have had to say about the place.

If you aren't into drinking cheap alcohol until you can't remember your name, there are other options on the site. You can look for bars in your area that have good drink specials, food specials, seating on the patio, and also those that offer Wifi. The site plans to expand in the near future, and will launch what they call Unthirsty: Level 2. Soon you'll be able to keep track of your favorite bars, get notifications whenever a new bar in your area is added, search for even more specific places, and find happy hours for upcoming days.

Although they do provide a map of where to get drunk, they do not provide maps on how to get home from the bars; so keep the cab company on speed dial.
