Any avid gamer knows that gaming is rarely a pleasant experience for your
thumbs (or any other part of your hand). Ever since the first Nintendo
controller, full of rigid edges and sharp corners, controllers have been fairly lacking in the ergonomics department.

The last round finally saw controllers that fit to the shape of most people's hands, but there were still problems, most noticeably the analog sticks. Sure, they were made of soft plastic, but they still started to dig into you after a while.

Well, 1up reports that a company called GelTabz (www.geltabz.com) claims to have the answer, in the form of small bits that fit over the stick heads, cushioning them. Of course the question is whether this will ruin their grip: can't have those thumbs slipping off the controls in a heated boss battle. Only personal testing will answer that. But at $5.99 for a set, you have little to lose if they don't work, and so much to gain if they do.
