Almost everyone has a crate of old vinyl records just collecting dust in a remote corner of their house. If you do, look through them. Finding one of these records could score you a little extra cash. The most valuable album is: Bob Dylan's Freewheelin', 1963, US, Stereo, with an estimated value of $25,000. This album is a first release with a "Stereo/360 sound" logo and also a sticker that says "Singing His Senstational Hit 'Blowin' in the wind'."
Other albums worth finding are: The Beatles 1970 Christmas Album, the US version. This album was only issued to club members and was a compilation of the previous seven Christmas albums released to members. It was also released in the UK with the title of "From Then To Us." Est. $400-$800.
The Rolling Stones (1st mono), the US version recorded in mono. This album would have to be the one without "England's newest hit makers" on the cover. Est. $200-$400.
Led Zeppelin with turquoise lettering, printed in the UK in stereo. It was released in 1969. Est. $600-$3,000
The Who, Happy Jack, released in 1967 in the US. It is mono with a pasted picture sleeve. Est. $150-$300.
So this weekend, get to looking. Maybe you'll find a small treasure in your home.
