Even if she chose to do a movie so she could go scuba diving in the Bahamas for four months, Jessica Alba says that she's more focused on her craft than ever.
"Into The Blue" won't be out until later this year. But for right now Alba co-stars, alongside with a huge list of Hollywood's finest, in Sin City, the adaptation of Frank Miller's comic book world. In Sin City she plays a stripper with a heart of gold who gives Bruce Willis' character the will to live.
Alba has stated that she and Willis use Bogart and Bacall as a template for their May-December relationship in the film. Since all of their acting was done entirely in front of a green screen, the two actors had little else to go on.
Despite being touted as a Hollywood sex symbol, Alba told The AP in an interview that it took her a long time to become comfortable with her sexuality. "Just because I developed earlier--I went through puberty early and I became a woman early--it took me a really long time to get comfortable with myself." She certainly is now and you can definitely see this confidence on screen.
Next she is slated to appear in Fantastic Four, where she plays Susan Storm, or The Invisible Woman. For Alba, the 24-year-old star who first emerged in the sci-fi TV series "Dark Angel", it is yet another comic book movie.
