Keira Knightely, star of Pirates of the Caribbean, has admitted that she is tired of playing 'perfect' characters and would like more of her characters to be noticeably flawed.

She also revealed that she enjoyed starring in The Jacket, alongside actor Adrian Brody, because the character she portrayed was darker and more interesting.

"I always think imperfection is much more interesting than the perfect," said Knightley as quoted by Breakingnews.ie. "Everyone wants to be perfect but it's boring, it's not real."

She also added, "Characters who are deeply flawed are a million times more interesting to watch. You can actually identify with them."
