It's a well-known fact that who you see on the big screen is often a lot smaller in real life. For example, J.Lo's famous backside really isn't that much bigger than most women's.

Since Natalie Portman already looks so tiny on screen, it's no surprise that she is a small woman in person. "Physically, I haven't really changed since I was 13," admits Portman, the 23-year-old actress who is currently filming V for Vendetta in Berlin. "I have shoes from Beautiful Girls that I still wear!"

But, for her, being small can be a hassle. She recently traveled to London to do reshoots for the upcoming third Star Wars prequel, which is slated to arrive in theaters in May. During her trip, a customs official asked if she was traveling with a guardian. "And," adds Portman, "I get asked for I.D. when I order a drink in England where the drinking age is 18!"

However, most of the time she finds her petiteness an asset. "You can use it to your advantage. It's like how women have an advantage in war in some ways because they're perceived as being weak." For this 5' 3", size zero actress, this sentiment surely rings true, because she is much tougher than she appears.
