Natalie Portman has revealed that she thinks actresses who go to Hollywood only to get rich are, in reality, no better than prostitutes.
he star, who can be seen in V for Vendetta, has said that she only takes on roles that have good artistic merit, and would never say yes to a film just for being offered a lot of money."I don't want to ever be working for money because then you are no different to a prostitute."
She also revealed that the best thing she's ever done was go to college. At one point, Portman was quoted as saying that she would "rather be smart than a movie star." She feels that what she experienced while at Harvard taught her to have a life beyond Hollywood.
Portman said to Britain's Independent newspaper of her life outside of the biz, "I have the most amazing friends in the world, who are doing such interesting and different things, and are their own people. They are my support base along with my parents. They are inspiring and always doing different, interesting things so I remember how to be a person by being around them."
"Like, you can play a person if you are a person in real life. It's hard to be like, I just pretend to be a human being on TV!' So the most important thing about college is that now I really have a life and I've got that forever."
