Here is the world's easiest bar trick: It works best on someone who is slightly inebriated. Before walking up to your prey, dip your index finger into an ashtray so that some ash sticks to it. Light a cigarette and walk up to the girl asking her to extend both hands. She will probably give them palms up, so you should take them and turn them palm down. While you do this, discreetly tap your ashy index finger into her palm. A light touch is all it takes. Now, showing her what you're doing, tap some ash from your cigarette into your palm. Now have the girl mirror everything you do, tap her fists with yours, etc. After you're through, hold your closed fists out and ask her which hand the ash is in.

Here's a never-fail, sure way of winning a free drink and hopefully a number too: The challenge is finding a taker. You say, "I bet I can finish these 3 drinks before you can finish your 1 shot." Make sure to explain the rules. 1) Your opponent can't touch her shot until you've started your second glass. 2) This is important. They can't touch any of your glasses, ever. Here's a great way to swoop and steal another guys hot date. Challenge the guy to drink from a bottle that has a cork with a fork stuck into each side without spilling or upsetting the cork and two forks. No straws are permitted and the cork can not touch your nose, nor can your lips touch the brim of the bottle. This looks impossible, so when the guy declines to try, show him and his lady your skill. Simply tip the bottle (slowly) and drink. The balanced weight of the forks will keep the cork on the bottle. While he stands their scratching his head, sneak out the back door with his date.
