Playboy has recently expanded their horizons, taking their magazine to a country where they have never been in circulation beforeIndonesia. But, some of the country's residents aren't too thrilled with having the magazines on their newsstands.

A group of Muslims stoned Playboy's editorial offices in retaliation for company's decision to launch their magazine in Indonesia. The protest involved about 150 members of the Islamic Defenders' Front, which is a small group that has a history of attacking bars, nightclubs, and Western embassies. Thankfully, no one was hurt during the protest.

Several windows, a door, and a gate at the magazine's Jakarta offices were smashed by protestors, who were also seen brawling with the police officers who were guarding the building.

Playboy's first Indonesian edition went on sale last Friday. It is nothing like its American counterpart. There is no nudity, and the pictures of lingerie-clad women are far less risqu than other magazines that the country sells.

However, the magazine has been condemned by Islamic politicians and preachers, most of whom feel the magazine's name is enough to have it banned.

Other Indonesian residents seem to have no problem with the magazine. According to vendors, it is selling quite well.
