Jordan Willett, a 5-year-old British boy, found a nasty surprise while getting himself a bowl of cereal. His prize turned out to be a two-foot long snake!

Willett thought he had found a price when the snake, a harmless corn snake, slithered out of his box of 'Golden Puffs' that his parents bought from the discount store Netto, located in Telford, central England.

"It was quite long and popped its head up. I've seen snakes on TV before but never in a box of cereal," the boy told the Daily Mail newspaper. Netto has stated that it was talking to its suppliers to review procedures and to check on its stock."This does seem to be a bizarre incident but we are treating it seriously," said Clive Cooper, Netto's trading director.Corn snakes feed on mice and birds and are commonly kept as pets.
