The Boys and Girls Guide to Getting Down is a satire on Los Angeles nightlife and the hipsters in the Cahuenga scene. Along with killer graphics, the memorable characters will take you through the "do's" and "dont's" of partying in LA. In case you still don't get it, there is also a group of scientists who will help explain the scientific side of "getting down" and why things really work the way they do.
Released in LA on March 23, 2007, this indie flick is part documentary, part narrative and part instructional film. Divided into chapters, you will be guided on the things you will need in order to get down (like vodka and drugs), while also showing you how to avoid some of the pitfalls associated with this lifestyle (like the police and puking). Learn the real reason people go to bars, marvel at the ways to gain entrance to the hottest club in town and find out what not to say to that girl who has been checking you out across the bar.
Years of painstaking research went into the creation of the film, from Dr. Heizakeit's experiments with alcohol and mice, to observations of Hollywood hipsters in party environments. The guide truly gets into the science of getting down and even provides charts, graphs and kick ass graphics for visual stimuli. Chances are you already know how to get down, but this film will help you brush up on those skills.
Check out the trailer for pervasive drug content, strong sexuality, nudity, and language.
