Double Agent spent two weeks polling one hundred girls (randomly selected in ten major cities from 18 to 30 years old) and across the board, they stated that fall is the season that the are most interested in dating you!

Our agents dug beneath this statistic to better understand the phenomenon that we are now calling the 'Fall Window.' Apparently, while the summer is regarded by a significant percentage as the time for having a casual 'fling' or a 'hookup,' the shorter days of fall get women in the mood for love. Among the reasons that we heard most frequently were:

1) In northern climates, the worsening weather means more time spent indoors and girls would rather hibernate and stay warm with a boyfriend than, well, Desperate Housewives or their roomates.

2) The approach of the holiday season reportedly causes women think about family, intimacy and romance. Yes, this means they drop their standards and are more likely to pass you a mobile number.

3) Quite a few girls stated that they loved the summer and coming home from vacation having to get back to work or school sort of sucked and so were more open to distractions of the male variety.

4) Asked what the best night of the year was for hooking up, our sample group stated, after New Year's Eve, the best night (i.e. your best shot) was Halloween! (We'll have more information on this ultimate night for hooking including the costumes that girls really like so stay tuned.)
