Trying to call a company can be frustrating. There are tons of options to choose from and getting a live person can be just about impossible. Thanks to Paul English, there is now a cheat sheet that can help you bypass all that and actually speak to a live person.

As the website states, "The IVR Cheat Sheet™ is a free service by Paul English, the CTO of Kayak.com, a travel search engine. I created the IVR Cheat Sheet in March 2005 when I could not reach a human at Verizon Wireless or Bank of America."

The companies listed are broken down into the categories of finance, government, insurance, pharmacy, products, retail, shipping, technology, telco, travel, and tv/satellite. But if you so choose, you can opt to see everything in one alphabetical list. A printable version is also available.

So far there are 134 listed. But don't worry, if you don't see the company you need, it may show up soon. New companies are always being added, and there are still several unverified entries waiting to be posted, so make sure to check back often.
