The iphone, after much specualtion and aticipation, will be released today, June 29, 2007 at 6 p.m. in your time zone. You better have gotten in line last night, because we have a feeling this phone will be going faster then Paris Hilton's reputation.

Why the iphone is wanted:

The specs of the 11.6 millimeter phone include a 3.5-inch 480 x 320 touchscreen display, with multi-touch support and a proximity sensor to turn off the screen when it is close to your face. It also has a 2 megapixel camera, 4GB or 8GB of storage, Bluetooth, WiFi that automatically engages when in range, and quad-band GSM radio with EDGE. For the techies, the iphone can support Widgets, Google Maps, Safari, and iTunes (obviously). Apple claims the phone has 5 hours of battery life for talk or video, and a full 16 hours of music.
