A recent poll has found what most of us already know--TV remotes just may be the single largest cause of arguments in the world. According to the poll conducted by Teletext, it was found that the 'remote' is accountable for 1.5 million arguments on a daily basis, and some of them are even physical.

According to The Sun, it was found that switching channels without asking others in the room annoy 77 percent of adults. 45 percent get upset when someone loses the precious gadget, while adjusting the volume annoys 34 percent.Not so shocking is the fact that 3 percent used the remote to hit someone and 25 percent even admitted to hiding it from their rivals.

"The remote is small--but it has a big impact," said a spokesperson as quoted in the report.
